Bernd Fischer named President and Chief Executive Officer of KS Kolbenschmidt US, Inc. / USA.

Kolbenschmidt US, Inc., part of Rheinmetall Group and manufacturer of high-quality system components for vehicles since 1910, has appointed Bernd Fischer as their new President and Chief Executive Officer for their North America operations. Fischer will report to Marcus Gerlach, CEO of the Hardparts division at Rheinmetall’s automotive branch.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Bernd Fischer’s caliber and experience step up to lead Kolbenschmidt US, Inc.” said Gerlach. “Bernd has a solid understanding of our products and our markets. We are certain that he will significantly strengthen our team and contribute to our strategy and vision.”

Fischer has more than 20 years of senior management experience, including a decade of strategic development and plan execution at inter­national manufacturers and service providers, including CEO of Oerlikon Balzers in Switzerland and President of GGB Bearing Technology.
